Lyrics

Tell me do ya? Do ya like to hula?
When you are at school-a? Or in the swimming pool-a?
If you want to be cool-a, tell you what you ought to do-la:
Practice hard ’til you can hula hoop while you play the ukulele too.

And we sing hula lula lula, hula lula lay,
Hula lula lula, and play the ukulele all day.

Yes I do trula, I truly like to hula,
When I’m riding my skidoo-la, or just playing the fool-a,
If you want to be cool-a, here’s what you should do-la:
Practice hard ’til you can hula hoop and play the tambourine and ukulele too.

And we sing hula lula lula, hula lula lay,
Hula lula lula, and play the ukulele all day.

Could you hula on a beach? Gimme something out of reach.
Could you hula on a cloud? Sure it wouldn’t make a sound.
Could you hula in your sleep? So good you all will weep.
Could you hula in a crowd? The spectators will be wowed!
How ‘bout with a salamander? Any day on the calendar.
Would you hula with a friend? We will hula ’til the end.
I can hula to the music, while I even tiptoe through the tulips.

And we sing hula lula lula, hula lula lay,
Hula lula lula, and play the ukulele all day.
